I have a Confluence Space where 10 users are given View and Edit rights.  However, I've created Child Pages in that same Space, and on one of these Child Pages, I need to give access to 3 users that aren't on the original 10 users of the Space.

That would not be possible. If the user has no permission to access the space, the user would not be able to access the content of the space. So pages in the space are not accessible by the user.

In this case, what you want to do is

  1. To allow these 3 users to access the space but restrict all pages except for the pages that you'd like the user to have access to
  2. Make sure that these pages are not a child page of a parent page that is restricted as view restriction is inherited. If the parent is restricted, so does the child page.

Thank you Hazwan.  That explains my confusion on inheritance from Space or parent page to child.
