Confluence Premium: Site analytics timeframe

Hello community!

We just upgraded to Confluence premium and excited about the new features that come with that upgrade.

Topic: site analytics + can you go further on the default date range search?

From what I see, it is a rolling 1 year timeframe and there is no way to change the date range to allow further or "all time". Before we upgraded, we were using a marketplace app and it pulled that timeframe and uninstalled it as now we have premium; hoping that would replace the app. We do not want to download a marketplace app and was just hoping if Atlassian had it on their roadmap to expand the date range and/or if anyone had other suggestions I am missing when navigating around the Site analytics. This is highly useful for users in Confluence and especially for auditing purposes; offboarding specifically. Knowing if there is page/anything to be aware about and transfer owners.

Any help or intel is appreciated!

@Miriam Hopton

As far as I know that 1-year limit exists by design (legal reason? storage?) and there is no way to extend it. Not even on the Premium tier.

I am not sure which third party app you were using, but the Better Content Archiving and Analytics app collects and stores updates and views forever. There is no limitation.

You can analyze views (since the beginning) for each single content:

And also in the content analytics, user engagement  and other reports.

(Discl. this paid and supported app is developed by our team. Free for 10 users.)

Hey @Miriam Hopton ,

Unfortunately, there's no native option to show this data 🙁
There's a feature request for it CONFCLOUD-73401: Increase Analytics Data Retention, but it's been open for a while now.

I'm struggling with this myself as I would also like to see some older historical data, which Analytics just doesn't support :/

I haven't tested Home Dashboards though, to see if they support pulling out things older than 1 year ago 👀
Plus, Atlassian Analytics can probably visualize this, but it's an Enterprise app only.

Cheers,
Tobi
