We have three Spaces in our site, and each one is designed to display a different icon (as a way of visually differentiating the Spaces) in the sidebar header. I uploaded the different icons and configured them using the Configure Sidebar tool. All icons appear in the Spaces menu and the Spaces Directory. However, the icon appears in the Sidebar of only two out of three.
A note, that may (but I don't think should) be relevant - the Space with the missing icon is the default page for the site.
Hi,
I double-checked and need to correct the information - both of the Spaces are using the Global Look and Feel theme. The main difference between them is that the Documentation Space has the Documentation category, whereas the Tips And Tricks Space has the Knowledge-bases category.

Have you successfully used this icon in another space? Does the icon display if you create a new space not using the documentation type?

Is the other space using the documentation theme too? What does it looks like if you switch to the default theme?

Christoph, hi
Here are some screenshots - first of a sidebar that shows the avatar (icon) and below the sidebar of the second space that is not showing the icon. In the middle is the relevant part of the Firebug listing of the page of the sidebar that does not show the avatar, although the html code seems to include it.
The structure of the html seems to be identical for the two sidebars (except for the obvious differences of the different data). The experience is the same in Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Edge.
As to the actions - in both cases - Add the icon using the Configure Sidebar tool and the icon is added using the title editor.
Hope this clarifies,
yaacov

Yaacov, is the space not showing the icon using any custom css? Can you compare the style for both icons please too? Are you using the documentation theme? Have you tried another icon?
Cheers
Christoph

Yaacov, can you please post screenshots of your problem here and describe what you did a bit more in detail? Is there a broken image or something instead of the icon? What do you see when you use the inspector/web developer tools of your browser to have a look at this icon (which html tag)? Which browser are you using and are you experiencing the problem in a different browser too?
Cheers
Christoph
