I'm using Cards to display a horizontal scrolling row of images since the Gallery macro has been deprecated. I've placed the Cards inside an Excerpt macro so I can insert the Cards on a few different pages. It originally displayed the Cards correctly when they were placed in the Include Excerpt macro, but it no longer displays the Cards.
When I go into the page Editor with the Include Excerpt macro, I see a large white box where the macro is placed. If I preview the page before publishing, the Card images show up correctly. They disappear once the page is published.
I've tried deleting and reinserting the macro, but it does not solve the issue. Any suggestions?
Hi @Alison Quirion and welcome to the Community.
First, thanks for reminding me of the Cards macro :)
Second, I tried to replicate the results but couldn't. I placed cards inside an Excerpt, then used Insert Excerpt on another page and it displayed correctly after I published the page.
Does it work in other browsers (or in the incogonito mode in a browser)? Testing this would eliminate the possibility of a browser (extension) interference.
What happens if you only put a single image into the excerpt? Does it show as expected in the Insert Excerpt? If not, it may be a permission issue.
Hi Kris, thanks for the response.
Single images work as intended in the Insert Excerpt macro.
I've tried viewing the page with the Cards macro inside the Insert Excerpt macro on both Chrome and Edge, I get the same blank box. It appears in Preview but not when published.
What I see in Preview:
What I see after Updating:
I'm probably remove the Cards and create a single image since my Cards did not need to be linked to specific pages. I was really just trying to replicate the look/format of the Gallery macro.

@Kris Klima _K15t_ that's possible. It previously worked. Then we migrated our spaces to a different Confluence account at the end of last year. I didn't notice the issue until recently.
