Confirm to send email upon form creation

Hi - I have used Confiforms to create a pretty basic action tracking tool and what I would like to do is have the form generate an email alert to the person assigned as Action Owner (field name in this case is User2).  I have tried to use Confiforms IFTT Integration Rules as follows

• Event - OnCreated
• Choose Action To Perform - Send Email
• Recipients - User2

An error message displays saying that an email cannot be generated because recipient is blank.  The User2 field has been populated with a valid user ID

Any ideas?

Could you share your form's configuration?

As if ConfiForms says the recipient is empty then it means it is... How is the recipients parameter is configured in particular?
