Hi everyone,
I am completly new to Confluence & Jira. I have installed both on our own Server and installed MySQL 5.7.
Now I need to configure access to both trought our Browser.
I have 3 users who can access through the internal network, but one user who has to access from outside.
I have a server with Apache Reverse Proxy on the DMZ, that is used to access another application, and where I could configure access to Confluence & Jira, if I would know how ;-)
I would appreciate any help on this.
Thank you very much!
Erika
Hi Erika,
This really depends on your server and network setup itself, so I would recommend that you contact your server and network administrators for information on how to set that up.
Once you have a domain set up for access, you can configure the base URL in Confluence and Jira
If you plan to use SSL, you will also find this information useful:

Erika,
You may also find this useful:
I also noticed this line in the 2nd article, which may be relevant to your case:
Some of Confluence's macros, such as {rss} and {jiraissues} need to make web requests to remote servers in order to retrieve data. If Confluence is deployed within a data centre or DMZ, it may not be able to access the Internet directly to make these requests. If you find that the {rss} macro does not work, ask your network administrator if Confluence needs to access the Internet through a web proxy.
I hope that helps but if you have any questions, please let us know.
Shannon
