Check who can view a page

Good day.

We switched from server to cloud. In the server version, before that, we had the opportunity to see who has the rights to access the page (press the "three dots", select the "People who can watch" menu item. But in the cloud version, I can not find such an opportunity. There is no such item. Maybe there is an option that enables this, or a 3rd party plugin?

I am about this:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/check-who-can-view-a-page-992678937.html

When I choose "Cloud", this redirects me to the general page.

Any ideas?

Coming from Server, the closest you get on Cloud is spread across a few places, and none of them gives you the "People who can view" list you had.

What you can check natively today:

1. The lock icon on the page shows restrictions — but only the ones set ON that page. If a parent page carries a view restriction, that's where access is actually decided, so walk up the ancestor chain too.

2. Space Settings → Permissions is the outer boundary: someone who can't reach the space can't reach the page.

3. On newer sites, Space Settings → Roles. People and groups can get access through role assignments that never appear in the classic permissions screen — in my experience this is what makes most manual audits wrong.

4. "Inspect permissions" (Premium) answers it for one user at a time, which only helps if you already suspect someone specific.

There's an open request for the full list on Cloud — CONFCLOUD-70430 — worth voting on if this matters to you.

Hi,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

There's a tool for inspect permission but it's on the premium plan https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/inspect-a-users-permissions/

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Hi Fabio,

When I select this, I can check if the user I enter has it. Will I need to enter all employees to check for access? But I want to see who has access now, in the server version I get a list of users.

In that page you can see if there are specific permission (view and edit) for that page, otherwise all users in groups specified in space permissions can see that page.

Btw, there's an open request for that on Atlassian backlog https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-70430

Please vote and watch this request to receive notification about progress.

Ciao,

Fabio

@Administrator Welcome to Confluence Cloud.

On Cloud you can see page permissions by clicking on the lock icon on the top right of the page. If you have Premium or above you can inspect permissions even deeper.

Hi Andy,

I set permissions in groups. In the menu that you offer, I do not see any people or users. I can only assign restrictions and nothing more.
