Hello there,
we use Confluence as a public online user documentation for one of our softwares.
As we are approaching a new major release and we have created a lot of new features (plus changed a lot of the current workflow), I was wondering if it's possible to create a parallell version of the docs and publish them at a later stage.
It's possible the changes will few days and I wouldn't want to:
The optimal solution would be to create a "branch" of the docs (sort of what you would do with git) and publish them at a later stage.
I hope what I said makes sense.
Thanks,
Daniele
Confluence makes drafts by default and you can learn more about that here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-do-drafts-work-on-confluence-938043306.html
I would suggest you use an app like this https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217917/page-branching-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview&_ga=2.217165599.822234515.1562369574-1213479325.1559944477 or this https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/143/comala-publishing?hosting=server&tab=overview
Thanks,
comala publishing does exactly what I was looking for!
