When I insert a JIRA ticket URL via the JIRA macro, into a Confluence page, it shows these fields by default:

Key, Summary, Resolution

I want to change the display to show these columns only:

Key, Status, Sprint

I have a Confluence page which has more than 50 such tickets embedded in various positions of the page. Is there a way to change the Macro default display settings to do this, so that I don't have to go to each link to edit the macro / change the display options / update the column names?

Hi Vipin,

In Jira Issues Macro there is a Display Options at the bottom that you can use to select the columns you want to display, and in which order.

Have you seen this feature and are you able to get it to display the issues as you prefer?

Hi Shannon,

Yes, I use that very screen to go to each embedded JIRA link and change the display options to show the 3 columns I want displayed.

My question was whether there is a way to set my columns as the global default for that Macro, so that I don't need to manually change it every time.

Thanks,

Vipin

Vipin,

There is a workaround for that, but it does require you to directly edit the .jar files:

How to Change Default Jira Columns to display in Jira issue macro

I recommend you have some familiarity in directly editing source files and make a backup before you save it.

Let us know if you have any trouble.

Kind Regards,
Shannon
