Cannot edit Jira Timeline once embedded in Confluence page

I have embedded this Jira timeline in a confluence page, but embedding is quite useless if I cannot use it to update statuses, assignee, health, as I can do when importing a Jira filter in Confluence. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a limitation?

Yes, this is as intended, you wil have no options to make the changes on the plan.
