Cannot change space admin as org admin

I need to change/set a space admin but it is not working.  User/groups do not appear in space settings.

Sounds like a permission problem. Are you the site/space administrator? 

Only site administrators or current space administrators can assign or change space admins. If you lack the correct permissions, some options may be missing on your end.

Hi @Teodora V _Fun Inc_  thanks. We managed to solve this issue a bit unconventional at our end. The actual problem was, that the only person who was the owner of the space is no longer with us.
