Cannot add different event types to confluence calendar

Hi Community,

 

I am trying to create a team calendar in Confluence.  I have created custom event types.  However when I go to add an event to the calendar, the only event type available to me is "Events".   

I do not see neither the other default event types nor my own custom event types.  

The dropdown menu for selecting the event type is grey and does not display any other selections besides "Events".

This is happening regardless if I double click the date to add event or if I select add event from the ... menu.  

I checked permissions and restrictions and it says I have no view nor edit restrictions setup for this calendar. 

Any suggestions on how I can get this working properly?

Solved.  I was not creating the calendar in the correct workspace.
