We currently have some docs stored in a folder structure based on which team is responsible for the completion of that document's work. But often times the document covers more that one team. We then store it in the primary owner's folder, which greatly reduces the visibility of those docs and any related work to other teams.
Is there a way to to add a shortcut of a document to 'my' folder, which is a link to a document in another folder? I have full access to the other folder, its just hard to keep up with other docs that need to be read and where I need to provide feedback and/or add my own requirements for work if they are not in 'my work folder'. I can 'star' the document and look at my 'starred' list, but that's not really effective.
@kharrell Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
When you say folder, do you mean:
OR
Or are you talking about documents that are files in a network folder somewhere outside of Confluence?
Hi @kharrell , as I was reading your issue, I was thinking of the starred solution, but I can see you've already tried it, and it is not very helpful in your case.
I am not sure if there's a native solution for it, but if it helps, I'm currently working on a solution to create such type of structured content (we call them guides, which might equal your folders solution?) and they'd all be easily accessible from a central hub/guide management page, all within Confluence. It hasn't been released yet, but if you would like to have a sneak peek you could have a look at it here or ask me directly and I'll give you access to the private beta.
Best,
Dan
