I have a Course I made on Confluence, these are great. Instead of just a video uploaded directly, I have instead put the video on a regular Confluence page and used that link in my course section. This allows me to have one source, the page on Confluence, for each step of my course, so as information is updated, so is the course. The page also contains a written breakdown of the Video for different styles of learning.
The problem is, when I do it this way, if the user wants to maximize the video, the maximize button does nothing.
This happens because Courses treat plain page links as embedded previews, not full video players, so the maximize control isn’t supported. To keep one source and still allow fullscreen, don’t link the page. Reuse the video with Excerpt and Insert Excerpt macros or embed the video directly on the course step. That way Confluence loads the native player and the maximize button works.

What do you mean by 'link'?
I'm asking because I tried using Excerpt and Insert Excerpt macros to source a video from one page on another and I was able to maximize the video. Using these excerpts allows you to reuse content on your Confluence site.
Another question would be if you're using an app to create your courses... Such as Smart Courses by Creativas or IZI for Cofluence by Stiltsoft?
