Can a page and its subpages be restricted within a Confluence space?

We have a Shared space in Confluence, but there is a specific page with subpages that a user has requested someone outside of the company have access to.   I did not see an option within the page for restricting access, unless I am missing it.  Is it possible to limit access for an external user (vendor outside of our company) but allow all internal (company employees) access.

Hello @Cindy Sobus

The access model is designed to give users access to view everything unless restrictions are added. The page restrictions enable you to specify who can see the content, not to specify who cannot see the content.

To allow the external user access to only a specific page and its subpages you would have to place the restrictions on all the other pages to make them visible (and editable?) to everybody except the external user.

Also, If the page (with subpages) is nested under other pages, the external user would need access to all the "parent" pages above the one page (with subpages) in order to see that one page and its subpages. If they should not have access to the parent pages, you would need to move the one page so it is a top-level page within the Space.

Trudy,

Thank you for the response.   I think I am going to create a new Confluence space and then move this page and its subpages into that space.  We have a Jira space (project) for this which is also restricted so I think it might be appropriate to do the same with the Confluence space and keep it separate.
