Can Rovo Access and Search Contents of Files Attached to Confluence Pages?

I've experienced the same, so I ended up building the DocAttaché app to solve this. It's a Confluence Cloud Rovo agent that reads the files attached to the page.



Ask any question and you get the answer out of the document (and page), with that document linked as the source so you can check what it quoted. PDF, Word, PowerPoint (speaker notes included), Excel, EPUB, RTF, CSV. The same skills show up in Rovo Agent Studio if you'd rather add them to an agent of your own.

Everything runs inside your tenant — Runs on Atlassian, no external AI service — and every read executes as the person asking, so your space permissions still apply. Text-based documents only: scanned PDFs and images can't be read.

Hello @Chisato Saito ~ there is some good info here:  can rovo search attachment contents in confluence - Google Search  While it apparently CAN access and search contents of certain types of attachements, it doesn't look like PDF's are supported at this time.  However, there IS a "Summarize Attachment Expert" agent that you can use to extract a Summary that you can then search:  Get Started - AI for Confluence Cloud - Confluence
