Can I use Confluence to track assets?

cxbrook6 September 18, 2023

Need to use Confluence not only for documentation but to track assets and to add metadata to individual files. Is this possible?

Hi @Dan Breyen

As far as I understand, I don't think Confluence can help you track assets. However, if you're looking for a tool integrated with Jira for asset/inventory management, you can give AssetIT a try. Its UI is friendly even for beginners and it's free for a team of 10 users and below.

I hope this may help.

Hi @cxbrook6 welcome to the community!  I'm not sure about using Confluence for Asset Tracking, but if you have Confluence, maybe you have Jira Service Management?  That has asset tracking built into it.  Here's a page with more information about it: Asset Management

Hope that helps.
