To clarify, I want to upload an excel spreadsheet on Confluence so that, when a user views the page, they see the spreadsheet's contents. I figured out how to do that, so my next step is to set up a macro or table or whatever that will allow me to update the spreadsheet on my computer or on SharePoint, and the Confluence page automatically updates to reflect this update without me having to go in and change the spreadsheet manually.
I hope I made my goal clear, let me know if I have any questions. I appreciate anyone's input on this, as I'm new to this system.
Thanks!
Hi @David Crawford ,
You may also browse the Atlassian Marketplace and search for the related apps.
Our add-on that is Table Filter and Charts for Confluence provides the Table from CSV macro. This macro allows you to output a table from CSV or TSV data source and supports outputting data from a URL or an attached file.
Here is a step-by-step guide how to connect the macro to Google Sheets and Google Drive - this may fulfil your case. Furthermore, you'll be able to filter, aggregate and visualize this recreated table right in Confluence.
Unfortunately, the macro doesn't support the SharePoint accounts.

Supplementing to Brant's answer, instead of keeping your excel sheet on your desktop/sharepoint, you can simply edit the excel directly from confluence using Atlassian Companion app and re-upload it again. Check out Edit files for all the details.

There is no app that will allow you to update the spreadsheet that is stored on your desktop and sync it with that which is stored in Confluence. You can open the excel file stored in Confluence update and save it through the Confluence office connector if you are on server.
If you use SharePoint there are several apps that will connect the document in Sharepoint to Confluence and keep the excel file in sync with the one in SharePoint https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=confluence&query=sharepoint
