Can I edit pages through a Macro?

Chelsea DeWall October 13, 2022

There are two options to make this work I don't know how either are possible.

I have a macro for events that we have attended in the past and need people to comment on them, reflections on how the event was and if we should go again.

1. Can I have a table next to a Macro (on the same line) so that people can add comments?

2. Can you edit a page without opening it when you see it in a macro?

@Chelsea DeWall welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Regarding your questions:

  1. Users cannot comment on a macro.
    1. You can use the layout button to set up your page with columns, embed the macro in one column and then a comment section in the other column. This way users can click on the comments section and leave comments on the macro.
  2. The only way to edit a page is to go into edit mode, unless users are commenting.

See screenshots below for how this would work. I hope this helps!

Thank you! That's a great idea.

When I do this, the column is too small for all of the information and so people may have to scroll to the right. (not the end of the world) But, is there a way to freeze the first column?

Also, in the comment field on the right, theoretically, I could make it into a table so that the comments would be lined up with the page they are commenting about. When I put the table in, the size is very off.
