I used TAB button to create a new row. Now it seems the new row has broken the table.
If I click on the remove row action on some cells of the row, nothing happens, or it pops up an error message saying the team is notified.
I cannot remove the row or add new rows below.
Any idea how to fix this?
Hello @Chaoming Li !
As I understand, you are facing problems when creating a new table row via tabbing. What happens is that the row you just inserted seems to break the whole table and table operations do not work as expected.
I tried to replicate this issue in my Confluence Cloud site but was unable to. This is what I see when I try to replicate the issue:
The behavior is consistent in both the New Editor (Fabric) and the Legacy Editor (tinyMCE). With this in mind, I would like to ask you a few questions:
- Is this behavior present regardless of the browser being used?
- Is this affecting any other user?
- Is this affecting all tables in your site?
- Is this affecting only newly created tables?
- What browser were you using when the issue appeared?
- What Operating System (OS) were you using when the issue appeared?
As a first try to fix this, I recommend that you:
- Try replicating the issue with another browser.
- Check if the issue is present even in Incognito / Private mode of your browser.
- Try replicating the issue in a newly created page and table.
Let us hear from you! Looking forward to your reply.
I think it's triggered by merging cells then copy and paste. I have a table that the left rows are merged. I tried to copy and paste some rows and columns and it broke the table.
I have reverted back to a version before the change to resolve the issue.
1. Only used Chrome
2. Yes, I asked my team members to try and they faced the same issue
3. No, just one table
4. No
5. Chrome
6. Linux and Mac OSX
