I have a confluence cloud instance, with office powerpoint plugin available.
I created a blank page which I gave the title: "11-07-2023: my page".
Then I attached a powerpointfile called: "test.pptx" and added macro "office powerpoint" in the page. The powerpoint macro pops up, but doesn't show a selected file in the "File name" field.
After trying lots of things, I encountered that the culprit was the colon in the title. If I change the title to: "11-07-2023 my page", the attached pptx-file does turn up in the powerpoint macro.
The powerpoint macro keeps working fine if I change the title of the page back to: "11-07-2023: my page" (including the colon) after succesful adding the powerpoint macro. So it seems only the process of adding the macro is corrupted by the colon-included-title.
Reproducable by anyone?
Hi @[deleted] looks like this is a known issue. Check out this jira ticket on Atlassian's site: CONFCLOUD-62468
If it's important for you to get that addressed in your environment, I would suggest having a discussion with support regarding it and opening a ticket at support.atlassian.com
Maybe it can be looked at again or reopened.
Hope that helps.
Hi Dan,
Seems you are correct! Atlassian closed that bug though. Weird as it doesn't seem to be that big of an issue and not harm any roadmap whatsoever.
It is a bug which a workaround is availablefor (removing the colon, adding the powerpoint and then adding the colon again), but obviously it is cumbersome.
I'll readdress it at support.atlassian
