We are planning to use the confluence knowledge base, and bring the knowledge base to our application.

When a user clicks on the widget, the user can find and access all relevant info and documents in the widget without leaving the application.

To develop such integration I want to know the feasibility of it and what are all possible way to do?

If we develop a custom widget in our app can we fetch all documents or info using REST API....is this the way?

Please suggest possible ways I would appreciate.

Hey @Shubham Ambekar , welcome to the community!

First of all, let me compliment you on your decision to maintain your documentation in Confluence! 😄 Before you run off now, make your Confluence instance public and develop your own widget that makes the content in your app available to the user; I would like to propose an alternative solution.

As a Marketplace partner, we at K15t offer a solution called Scroll Viewport for Confluence. It enables you to publish your documentation from Confluence to a customizable online help center (public or with authorized access) with improvements to the content (Formatting, SEO), a powerful Elastic search, and integrations with our document management app to offer you docs in different versions and variants to your users. And the big advantage is that you don't have to make your Confluence available to customers.

To get a feel for what I mean, just take a look at the Atlassian documentation, our own app documentation, or this documentation center from our customer Emplifi.

Why the long intro? You can use Viewport to embed your documentation in your app in various ways, namely via a widget or iframes. I'll link you to two articles from our documentation that explain both approaches.

Perhaps this is an easier way to achieve your goal. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help you. :) Have a great day!

Best, Max
