I've recently been uploading some other documentation to Confluence as pdf files for reference. One of these has bold text highlights (Written in Google Docs). The document looks fine in Docs, and the pdf expert looks just right when I download it and view it on my Mac as well.

However when I upload the file to Confluence, the preview pane shows every instance of bold text, offset to the right, as seen here:

Has anyone else seen this before?

Edit: It's worth noting that once I download the pdf from Confluence, it also works just fine. It seems to only be a problem with the Confluence pdf preview feature.

To me this looks like a font rendering issue (the width and the spacing of the bold characters are overly large). I'd check if this is possible to tune the font settings for the PDF preview feature, because as you pointed out, the PDF file itself should be perfectly fine.
