Blue (#003366 ) text appearing here and there

Niall McCaffrey July 5, 2021

I notice that certain bits of text are colored #003366, and I don't understand why. Sometimes its just headings. Sometimes its a whole paragraph. Sometimes its a part of a sentence. It's always #003366.

Any idea what might be causing this? Is there a keyboard shortcut that people are accidently hitting? Is it something to do with copying and pasting text from other applications into confluence? I cannot really see a pattern here. Doing "Clear formatting" restores it, but I really want to know why it is occurring in the first place. It occurs on about 5% of our Confluence pages so it's quite frequent.

@Niall McCaffrey

Most likely it is copy and paste.  If you look at the history can you determine who the users are that it is occurring on their edits.  You could then ask them what they are doing and see if you can recreate.  Then you could address the issue through training.

Actually I believe it is a bug in the editor. I see these color tags being inserted sometimes when no formatting or copy-paste type edit is performed. Unfortunately I dont have concrete reproduction steps, and it's not showing up in the history.
