Hi all,
Aim: I would ideally like to be able to create a blog post from template with a button (to be able to automatically add a tag and have a structure) however this does not exist (CONFSERVER-4174).
Current Workaround: Create a page from template (with tag and structure) and use an automation to convert to a blob post (Trigger: page creation that includes a label from the template)...however the confluence automation feature does not have the option to "convert to a blob post" (Link to Post)
Why? I would like to move org announcements from email to confluence pages as they are more advantageous since you can have a linkable post that allows for easy sharing, confluence analytics and automated sharing via slack/email.
Can this feature be considered since we already have a template button? Or are there any other workarounds?
Thanks, Ollie
Hi @oliver_harrison ,
Would it be sufficient to use this workaround (pulled from closed cloud suggestion):
Today, if you are looking to use a template in your blog post, simply head to the editor to create a blank page, select a template you're interested in using and fill out your content. Now, you have the option to either publish the page directly as a blog or publish as a page now and then convert it to a blog later. Check out this article I wrote for more information and visuals on how to do this!
So, basically this:
Might not be ideal, but it's not too bad either. 👀
Cheers,
Tobi
