Blank space shows up after publishing

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I inserted a pdf into a page and it looks correct in editing mode. When I publish the page, a large blank space shows up above and below the pdf. Is there any way to remove the space?
