Hi everyone

I’m exploring how Atlassian tools — especially Confluence and Jira — can be leveraged to support SEO and digital marketing workflows.

As a marketing manager handling SEO campaigns, I often face challenges in:

Managing keyword research, content strategy, and link building tasks across multiple teams.

Aligning technical teams (developers) and marketing teams in one workspace.

Tracking marketing performance or editorial updates efficiently within project tools.

I’d love to know:
How do other marketing or SEO professionals here use Atlassian tools to plan, execute, and monitor SEO strategies?
Are there any recommended add-ons or automation setups that integrate well with Confluence or Jira for marketing use cases?
Any best practices for structuring SEO sprints or marketing boards inside Jira?

Your insights and examples would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance,

I map Jira epics directly to each SEO sprint and keep all briefs, keyword sets, and drafts in Confluence so nothing slips through the cracks. For off-page work, I’ve paired my Jira link-building board with white hat link building I’ve used before, which made tracking placements way easier and kept the campaign data clean across both tools.

Many marketing teams use Atlassian tools to manage SEO workflows by structuring campaigns in Jira and documenting strategy in Confluence.

For example, agencies like AMC Digital organize SEO planning, content workflows, and technical collaboration through structured systems like ethical SEO Middle Tennessee.

This helps align keyword research, content production, and development tasks in one system.

A common setup is:

Confluence → strategy & SEO documentation
Jira → execution (tasks, sprints, tracking)

Hope this helps!

Confluence is great for keeping all SEO notes, keyword research and plan in one place. Jira helps turn that work into simple tasks and track what everyone is doing. Using both together can makes SEO workflow more organized and helps your team stay on the same page.

Automations for task status and reminders make things smoother. When testing ideas for local campaigns, I saw seo services Tuscaloosa at Double Plus Marketing handling SEO tasks cleanly and efficiently—it’s a good example of keeping everything organized and visible.

Hi @Sultan Ali ,

I'm not in Marketing team but I could maybe share some resources first:

Now, when it comes to collaboration, I'd say most focus is placed on marketing teams using Jira and Confluence together, where Jira is then somewhat integrated with development teams.

There are also Community-Led Class series that might be helpful as well: Watch ondemand: "Jira for Marketers" Community-Led Class series

These days, I believe all teams could leverage Rovo, so you could also chat with it to see if it comes up with any brighter ideas on how you can use Atlassian tools for your purposes :)

Cheers,
Tobi
