Bad request when creating new page

Hi there,

I've created a new page on confluence, and when I selected PUBLISH button, the website directed to a link that shows Bad request (capture)

Then, I've created a new page having the same name with the error page, there is no problem. All I want know is detele the error one. Can you help me?

Hi there

In looking at the URL it attempted to create from the page title you had, it is very likely it doesn't like characters that are in the title. While it has gotten better, my rule of thumb has become that spaces are ok but NEVER put any special characters you wouldn't put in an old skool DOS 8.3 filename. If you stick with that you will never go wrong.

Thanks for your answer, I got it now. Do you know how to detele the error page? I cant access to it to make any change.

You can get your page open again in edit mode by using the following URL:

<baseURL>/pages/editpage.action?spaceKey=<spaceKey>&title=<pageName>

Where:

• <baseURL> is the part you have crossed off in blue in your image above
• <spaceKey> is the key of the space the page is located in
• <pageName> is the BROKEN page name that you can't open any longer

This will reopen the page directly in edit mode from which you can change the name to something less brok
