Automation Studio and Rovo Agents- confluence trigger

Shir Efter

Hi Atlassian Community,

I'm currently experimenting with Automation Studio and Rovo Agents and trying to build an automation that automatically invokes a Rovo Agent whenever a Confluence page is created or published.

However, when I try to add a trigger in Automation Studio, I only see triggers such as:

  • Work item created
  • Field value changed
  • Scheduled

I don't see any Confluence-related triggers like:

  • Confluence page created
  • Confluence page updated
  • Confluence page published

My goal is to automatically run a Rovo Agent that formats and updates Confluence pages according to predefined standards whenever a new page is created under a specific space/folder.

Questions:

  1. Are Confluence triggers currently supported in Automation Studio?
  2. Is this a product limitation, feature flag, or rollout issue?

Thanks :)

Shir

Hey @Shir Efter ,

👉 Studio only supports Jira, JSM (and Ops), Focus, Loom and Assets. For now!
There's no feature request for supporting Confluence, too, but I believe this will be rolled out pretty soon.

'Alternative' would be to use Confluence automation directly within the app/Confluence and select action Use Rovo or Use agent and build what you were planning to do in Studio. 🤔

Quick update - while chatting with support about something else, I asked them about this and here's the answer I got:

...I couldn’t find any feature request but I can see work going around it targeted for Q4 2026...

Talking about Studio supporting Confluence triggers.

@Tomislav Tobijas

Super duper :) Thx let us know.

Well about Rovo you can be sure it´s coming.

Now i think more focus are on Jira Triggers, but Confluence will also come at the end sometime.

Hello and Welcome to Atlassian Community @Shir Efter

you are likely configuring the automation in a Jira context rather than Confluence (This you listed are pure Jira Triggers).

Select Triggers > Add automation trigger, and explicitly choose Confluence

Best,

Arkadiusz 🤠
