I try to drop video directly to confluence page and by link to google disk. The result is the same.

Hello @Александр_Миронов !

Per your description, videos are displayed in a format where Width is narrower than the Height.

I tried to replicate that locally but was unable to. I tested this in both the New Editor (Fabric) and our Legacy Editor (tinyMCE). In both editors, the video proportions are respected.

Here is what I see:

In Fabric’s edit mode:

In tinyMCE’s edit mode:

In Fabric’s view mode:

In tinyMCE’s view mode:

With this result in mind, I see a few things for us to check:

  1. What is the video resolution?
  2. What do you see when playing the video outside Confluence?
  3. Is this happening with any video file or only this specific one?

I believe that there is a chance that the video proportions are incorrect and Confluence is just displaying the information available to it. Which is what prompted me to ask what the video looks like outside Confluence.

Let us hear from you!

Hello @Diego

Thank you for your help!

  1. 1280*720 for both videos
  2. It's play normal on PC and Google Drive
  3. I was trying on two videos for tutorial in our company. Tryed to insert my personal video after your advice. And it works properly!

I will decode video to another extension. From .mp4 to .avi I think.

Thank you one more time!

Hey, thanks for getting back to me @Александр_Миронов ! As I understand, another video from your files is displayed correctly and you are now converting the problematic video into another format to try and fix the issue with it.

Glad to know you were able to find out what was the problem with the video!
