Atlassian Companion won't upload changes back into Confluence

I've made changes to documents stored in Confluence- mainly content updates and am able to click upload, but it doesn't actually upload back into Confluence. It just says "uploading" with literally now progress being made. Here's a screenshot of 2 files that have been trying to upload for approx. 4 hours.

for my knowledge Companion App was removed from Confluence cloud a couple of years ago (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Removing-the-Companion-app-from-Confluence-Cloud/ba-p/1884657).
