Assigning users to Confluence-administrators user group

Ivan O-Neill

I am trying to add some users to the "confluence-adminstrators" group.

I am logged into the Confluence Admin portal (i.e., it says "You have temporary access to administrative functions. Drop access if you no longer require it. For more information, refer to the documentation.")

When I go to Edit Groups under a user and attempt to add them to the "confluence-administrators" group, I get an error saying, "You must have system administrator privileges to add members to group 'confluence-administrators'."

I'm confused because I am logged in as an Administrator on the Confluence Admin portion that requires a separate adminstrator session. What other credentials do I need as an administrator to do this?

I asked the question here but did not get a response.

Thank you.

You do not have the right to add full Confluence administrators, that's restricted to Atlassian.

Ah, ok. I created an "administrators" group and gave them the permissions I wanted instead. Thank you for clarifying.
