Assigning a license upon authorization

After updating the system: any user who has passed the authorization will automatically receive a license in the system.

How and where to disable this feature?

We hit the license limit and "everything breaks down".

We are using LDAP.

That's not how it works.  There is no "automatically receive a licence", as the licence is a single licence that applies to your server, there is nothing given to a user.

There is nothing here to "disable", there's nothing actually being done.

Your licence says "you can have up to X users able to log in to this system".

The X is counted by looking at the group, or groups, set up to say "people in this group, or groups, can log into Confluence".

To stop the problem you're having with new people taking you over your licence allowance, stop adding them to the login group(s) in LDAP.  You might find it easier to change the group in use for logging in, to separate it out from the current login group(s).

Thanks! Removed automatic adding to group members (confluence-users) in the LDAP catalog settings in Confluence
