Hi all,
I'm currently working on creating a meeting notes template for my organization. It's going very well, however, I'm curious about one thing.
One of the feature's we're utilizing is Confluence's tasks. Every meeting, we'll be assigning tasks out to participants. However, not every task will be completed before the next meeting, so they carry over.
How can we include the preexisting tasks within our meeting notes without duplicating the task?
Edit: I should include that we'd like to not modify the template, if possible. I understand there are reporting functions for tasks. but we have a separate page for task reporting. We just want to have the task carry over to be "reassigned", along with any new tasks that may come up.
Hi @Sta,
Since the requirement is not to modify templates/blueprints, I suggest you incorporate reviewing the Task Report macro on the Meeting Notes parent page during each meeting.
You would then reassign any task by clicking on the task's "Task appears on" page and update the assignee in the source.
The Task Report macro can also be manually inserted on each new meeting note page if you want to go that route. Modify the macro's parameters with the target space and task status = incomplete.
Hi Jon,
Sorry for the delay. After reviewing your answer and getting back to my team, we have gone ahead and went with your suggestion on having a parent page with tasks listed there.
In addition, within our template, we added a link that leads to the parent page so it's just a click away for viewing our tasks. :)
Thanks again for your help!
