We migrated from On-Premise Confluence to Cloud Confluence, and I'm updating each of the pages we use for our applications. In on-premise confluence, we could add in an AQL Search for the 1 specific application, then list certain values from that insight object as a Table with 2 columns and many rows, where each row was a different value from the asset's page.
This doesn't seem to be possible in our new, cloud Confluence. I've clicked every button and every option, and it doesn't present me with the options on how to format it to how I want.
Hey @Joel Vanderveen ,
As Trudy mentioned, there's a feature request related to what you're looking for. I've been struggling with the Assets macro on the cloud as well. It's a good feature if you don't need to update it that much (meaning, once you construct a filter query and results, do not touch it 😅)
Anyway, compared to the DC version, it's relatively limited.
On top of CONFCLOUD-79033, there's this suggestion: JSDCLOUD-14916: Enhanced Search and Filtering Options for Assets in Confluence (View Mode), which mentionsa workaround:
To mitigate the issue, the following workarounds can be considered:
- Create multiple tables with predefined filters to narrow down the asset list, reducing the need for further filtering.
- Fine-tune your AQL (Asset Query Language) to present a more focused list of results based on anticipated user needs.
But that's really not that user-friendly, so I'm guessing you'll have to re-design the view you had on DC with the macro you have on cloud 🫤
Cheers,
Tobi
Hello @Joel Vanderveen
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
It appears that option is not available in the Confluence Cloud version of the macro. There is a change request about it, to which you can add your vote.
