Hello @Caroline Batchelor and welcome to the Community.

Using Confluence for documentation is my favorite topic and I've written a couple of Community articles on the subject.

Also, K15t (Atlassian partner) have a site dedicated to using Confluence for documentation and content in general.

Hi, @Caroline Batchelor! ✨

You can use Confluence for this - it’s Atlassian’s documentation tool and works great for organizing and linking existing content.

With the free version, you can:

  • Create and connect pages in a hierarchy

  • Use labels and smart links to tie related docs together

  • Add templates to keep things consistent

  • Search across all content easily

  • The Excerpt macros to reuse specific parts of a page in others

It's perfect for getting started with system documentation.Additionally, you can create parent-child page hierarchies, link between pages, and group related content. With Confluence's full-text search and filtering, it's easy to locate and reuse existing documentation.

I hope I understood your question correctly - if you need any more help, I’m happy to assist! 😊
