Archived posts appear in the standard search

Currently, archived posts are displayed by default in search results. To improve user-friendliness, I suggest reversing this logic:

By default, only active content should be displayed. Archived posts could be explicitly included using the existing filter if needed. This reduces “noise” in the search results and helps users find the information that is currently relevant more quickly.

does anyone have the same issue? or how do you handle this in your environment?

Hm that will point more to Indexing problem, actually That shouldn't happen, that's not normal behavior. 

There's also a Bug Ticket around That.

In opposition to That, advanced search should work fine.
