An error while submitting a confiform from person out side my company.

HI I am getting error " com.atlassian.sal.api.net.ResponseException: Error communicating with Jira, Status: 500 with message: and repsonse:'null'null "

After submitting a confiform. I have login details of another company and able to access confiform but when submit the form after completing all columns, I receive above error

Could you please advise what could be  the issue.

It looks like you have a ConfiForms form that is set to create Jira issue, right?

Are you using https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Configuring+ConfiForms+IFTTT+actions+and+rules#ConfiguringConfiFormsIFTTTactionsandrules-CreateJiraIssue ?

When you say the user is outside your company - are we talking about unauthenticated users or users that dont have access to your Jira project (in case if you are using the above mentioned way of creating Jira issues from ConfiForms)?

HI Alex, 

Correct, Confiform uses IFTTT with action to 'create Jira ticket' on submissions of confiform.

The user is legitimate as they have my company's domain login details. It might be the second part of your explanation that user may not have access to Jira project. Is there any alternate way that we do not provide access to Jira project to the external users and create Jira ticket through their confiform submission.

You can either switch to using https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Configuring+ConfiForms+IFTTT+actions+and+rules#ConfiguringConfiFormsIFTTTactionsandrules-WebServiceRequest with configured connection to your Jira using a service account or something like that

Or ensure your users have enough permissions to create Jira issues in the project you configured ConfiForms to create your issues in
