A colleague has granted me permission and Conlfuence sent me an email saying I have received the permission to the page. When I open the link it says I don't have the permission yet. When I click on "Request access from the author", I get in the same process.
Does the page have a parent page with restrictions?
View permissions are inherited, so if there is this page tree...
Page 1
Page 2
Page 3
...and all 3 pages have view restrictions - to see Page 3, you'd need to be granted view access to Page 3 and Page 1, as its parent.
I'd check this first and see if this could be the issue :) - if not, could you ask the owner of the restrictions what access they've granted you specifically?
