As a layman to code, I would like to understand the easiest way to adjust the column width to a table that has been imported into confluence. The table has been formatted with vertical headers, bolded and unbolded text, various sizes of font etc.  The Confluence table is quite primitive in comparison.  What edit functions are available to produce something remotely similar.

Starting with V6, the ability to resize column width is native to Confluence. I'm not familiar enough with CSS to suggest options there.

hey, with Ver. 6.0 once you are in Edit Page mode, move your cursor to the table you can go to the table; which will show you another menu item as line 2.

The first item in the 2nd line menu shoudl say "Responsive". Change this to "Fixed Width"

Now, pick the column by hoovering over the columns you want to resize - just like excel - and resize as needed.
