You may also use our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

The add-on provides the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros that are an advanced version of the standard Excerpt/Excerpt Include macros and allow you to have several excerpts on the one page and choose which exact excerpts to include.

The standard Excerpt Include macro recognizes only the first Excerpt from the source page.

Do you know if the page you are editing is using either the excerpt include or include page macro? Based on your description that sounds like what is happening here.
