How can I link or add an excerpt from an article to a confluence page?
Depending on where the article or blog entry is hosted, it's possible you might be able to include content from an external website using the iFrame macro:

Oof, sorry, Matthias posted the same link as me, but with much better context. :-}
One neat thing I recently discovered (but likely won't work with random websites/blogs) is the Widget connector macro, which is like an automagic iFrame macro mainly for sites that provide video content:

Ah, looks like it does support Twitter. Which is kind of a microblog, right? :-}

Hi @Kellie Brozyna ,
are you talking about excerpts defined with an excerpt macro?
If yes, you can use the excerpt include macro in order to show the excerpt on some other page.
Cheers,
Matthias

No more of an article or blog on the web. Can that be shared to a confluence page in some way? Or embedded, linked?

You can try embedding them with an iframe macro. With that macro, you can basically embed any webpage into a Confluence page.
However, some websites are configured in a way which prevents them from being embedded via an iframe (see Known issues on the linked page above).
Does that do what you'd like to achieve?
