Add comment field not expanding

I am having an issue with the add comment function on my Confluence 3.5.13 install. When you click "Add Comment" the editor box that opens isn't expanded. All you can see is the "Rich Text" Wiki Markup" "Preview" tabs along with the post and cancel buttons, you can't actually see the field to type in.

I upgraded to 3.5.13 from 3.5.5 to try and resolve the issue but it did not. Some of our plugins haven't been updated to work on 4.0 yet so that is out of the answer.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I discovered that once I disabled the Instantsearch v1.1.1 plugin the comment field issue went away.
