Account Inactivity Timeout

Glenn Chundrlek June 5, 2019

I have several users who were away from work for 3-4 weeks.  When they attempted to log into Jira or Confluence, they received an error which stated that their account was deactivated.  I looked in the Administration Console and found that their accounts were marked Inactive.  Is there a setting for this, and if so how can it be changed?  Several of my colleagues will be going on their summer holidays, and I don't want for them to be made inactive.

Hello Glenn,

Thank you for contacting us.

We don't automatically deactivate unused accounts here at Atlassian, but it's possible if the domain is a managed account, the organization admin could have deactivated it:

If you are unsure, I would recommend contacting the Cloud Support team. They will be able to tell you for sure if the account is managed and if they can see who deactivated the account.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Regards,

Shannon
