API Keys

Roger Oshaug May 18, 2021

Is it possible to provide access to the Confluence REST api by using/creating a Generic API key and not have a user account mapped to it? Or do we have to create a "Service account" and create a Personal Access Token for that account?

Background for the question is that we have hired a developer to build a Chatbot that needs to read the content we have created in Confluence.

We do not have anonymous access enabled.

Hi  @Roger Oshaug

I advise you to review the Confluence API documentation
