The horizontal scroll bar and wide table width go away once you save the page. The table and columns go back to very narrow width, causing the table rows to become jumbo size due to the columns being too narrow to fit all the text.
I can't understand why it's not possible to have super wide tables with horizontal scrollbar. The way how Atlassian implemented something fundamental like a table is useless to me. I now use Excel instead. I can't understand that something like this exists in 2025.
Whatever you did to the latest updates, broke the table width adjustment.
Dragging the right control does not resize table and columns anymore, it only ruins columns, and makes the table LARGER than the screen width, and now you need to SCROLL to see the table.
I am trying to align / resize a table and still struggling to get some basics out of it - 1. Unable to resize 2. Horizontal scroll is missing as well 3. Distribute rows just shrinks the table I manually adjusted to something rubbish.
Hi Rory, great info. It works well for tables in a simple page. As I use a lot of tables in excerpts, some layout of tables seems not possible at all...
I have many issues:
- Table with only 2 small columns boing full width screen.
- Tables equally lined out in the excerpt do not line out on the import excerpt page.
- Tables cannot be resized at all in an excerpt.
Any option to do so? This way using Atlassian tables is not funny...
