I didn't see an answer to skonop's question in here, and I have the same question. Is there a way to tag inline or block on html files so they import correctly?
@Tamim Noorzad - Thank you for the update and thank you Atlassian for changing this. The changed really impacted my workflow and frankly caused me to explore other products because my workflow is oftentimes heavily dependent on screenshots and annotations.
It was refreshing to see this change today after coming back from the holidays. The dark ages of default tiny image pasting is over!
Woohoo! Thank you so much for acting on the feedback, it's greatly appreciated! Now if you could convince the powers-that-be to learn from this and to implement "enhancements" more cautiously, that would be even more awesome. ;-)
We come from Confluence Datacenter, where it was possible to have multiple block images next to each other. In Confluence Cloud, this is a major pain point not to be able to place more than one image in one line. In-line doesn't help since the pics are too small.

I have accomplished side-by-side images using a 2-, 3-. 4-, or 5-column layout (highlighted toolbar icon below) and inserting an image in each column of the layout. You can even adjust the width of each layout column in case some images are wider than others.
You can also do this with a table, but then you have borders.
