I wanted to use an embedded database view within a page instead of having a separate table but once I created the database recorded in the page it showed the full thing including all the editability, view selection etc.
It would be useful I could select embed a database, select a view and have it show in a focused mode within that confluence page.
This would allow for more structured data while also presenting cleanly within a confluence page allowing me to keep multiple pages in synch with the underlying page.
If you think this is a good idea vote here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-79661
After creating this post @Anne Saunders highlighted that there is already a request to buid this feature.
Hi Daniel,
can you try this?
Is this maybe at least close to what you are looking for?

That still has all of the other views and general database controls that are not wanted.
I will point out that for an individual record, it does get rid of all the extra controls, which is good. Just an inconsistency in implementation paradigms. The single record view is more akin to what he described wanting for a single view rather than the single record.
You're not the only one to ask for this. Have you voted for this work item? https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-79661
While you are on it, maybe you want to give this a vote too: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-79584 :-)
Yes, this would be really valuable to improve the readability; and is limiting my usage of confluence databases. I'm considering going back to Excel...
I really hoped Databases would get us out of Excel for a couple things, but now I'm just maintaining the same data in more places :/
