Feature Request: unique, visible ID for each dataset within a database

In order to identify one data record there should be an extra read-only column available which gernerate an ID unique to the current database

The user should be able to choose if this column is visible or not.

It would be nice if the user could choose the syntax of the ID or it should be like the JIRA Tickets IDs with a prefix derived from the database name and a consecutive ID

I'm surprised databases wasn't shipped with this ability in the GA release.  Seems this should be table stakes for a database.
