Hi fellow Community,
My first post – YAY!
I am currently participating in two different Beta programs regarding Confluence permissions and I’ve run into some questions in my Sandbox environment. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has experienced this or if this is a known limitation regarding feature compatibility.
The Setup:
While testing in the Sandbox, the roles "UI" is active and working. However, I am unable to assign permissions to Teams within this new Roles interface. The option to select Atlassian Teams (which works in my Production environment using the legacy permission view) seems to be missing from the new Roles configuration screen in the Sandbox.
My Questions:
Are these two beta features currently mutually exclusive? Does the new "Roles" UI simply not support the "Teams" selector yet?
Could this be an issue where the "Teams in Permissions" beta flag wasn't carried over to the Sandbox environment?
What is the expected behavior when we have permissions assigned to teams and then switch to the new roles UI
Has anyone managed to get both features running in the same space/environment?
Thanks for any insights!
Hi @Patrick Amft - thanks for reaching out. I'm Marie, PM for the Confluence permissions team.
The two betas, roles and and teams, are built to work in tandem. The roles experience supports adding, updating and removing space-level access for Teams. Do you mind opening a support ticket and emailing it to me at mcasabonne@atlassian.com so our team can take a look at your sandbox instance to see what might be happening? Thanks!
